Companies continue to focus on cutting costs, leveraging their existing IT software assets wherever possible and improving efficiencies to better respond to business changes and new opportunities. SSI offers vast knowledge and experience with middleware solutions and integration techniques to help our clients deliver on these objectives.
With the advent of XML (eXtensible Markup Language), the ability for systems in different environments to exchange information has become easier. The universal industry acceptance and interoperability of XML makes it a very attractive way to communicate information between applications. In addition, mechanisms such as XML schemas enable application interfaces to be extensible, allowing for an adaptable architecture which can respond to change quickly. XML combined with SOAP, the XML-based messaging framework, allows for the exchange of XML data through an interface to other corporate systems on a company's intra-net, or through an interface with customer or partner systems across the internet. This capability is called Web Services. It provides a loosely coupled way to integrate applications to achieve complex operations, regardless of whether the business processes to integrate are internal or external to the corporation. This type of integration provides business agility and competitive advantage for corporations.
SSI has been using XML technology extensively in its solutions and products since 2000 and has made it a core competency skill of our company.
SSI possesses subject matter expertise in many other industry standard integration technologies including J2EE, CORBA, and message-based middleware.
